Old King Cole
Bob Heather and Cheryl Barrett
When the wicked Abanazar was thwarted by Aladdin for trying to steal the magic lamp,
he decided to take the easy option and head for Merrivale to steal Old King Cole's crown instead.

Old King Cole was a merry old soul until his crown was stolen. A gallant bunch of his friends including Jack, the King's valet, his mother Candy Floss, the owner of the local sweet emporium and their dog Deefer, along with Hey, Diddle, and Dee, the fiddlers three, and Rhubarb Fool, the court jester, decide to follow the wicked wizard and bring the crown back to the King. On their travels they visit the Loch Ness monster in bonnie Scotland and the pyramids of Egypt, Abanazar's home, to win back the crown. After much mayhem, they all return home and live happily ever after. - Twelve Principal Characters plus Chorus
